The woman at the shelf picked up a book

And read aloud, head in the clouds.

But the men with the spirit of fire in their head,

Prevented these books from being read.

These men had an orange-eyed sense of self

And knocked every book from the wooden shelf.

“I’ve read it all, I’ve read it all,

And words like this will make us fall.”

The woman with sapphire in her bones

Picked up the books, Rose above the men.

Despite her fear of sharp thrown stones,

She ran fast and read again:

“Don’t crawl too long, just stand up high,

And reach up toward the solar sky.

Be free from those who kept you from the stars,

And stand by those who took you to the moon.

Be free.

Be free.

Be free.”
